Win Pe
Win Pe was born in 1935 and brought up in Mandalay, Upper Myanmar. Learned Painting from father Shwe Pyi U Ba Tin, High School Art teacher U Tun Nyunt, U Ba Thett of Mandalay and U Kin Maung, bank manager also from Mandalay. Further studied Education mostly in Mandalay University. Later served as Headmaster of Axillary State School in Htone Gyi, Mandalay. In 1996 served as Principal of Mandalay State School of Fine Art, Music and Dancing up to 1973.
Exhibited several paintings since childhood in joint public exhibitions. His close art colleagues were Kin Maung Yin and Paw Oo Thett. Apart from the Art of Painting Win Pe also studied Music and Writing.

Mindscapes
“Lately I am working total abstractions. I had titled them as “Mindscapes” as a play on words. We have Landscapes, Cityscapes, Riverscapes etc. So why not Mindscapes? My works inside my own mind should be named Mindscapes. Actually these works are my abstraction.”
