ELSEWHRE: ณ ที่แห่งอื่น begins with the artist’s personal experience of leaving home to live in an unfamiliar place. This experience leads to an exploration of the lives and emotions of people who leave their homes or familiar surroundings to begin a new life somewhere far away. Through painting and mixed media, the artist brings together portraits, newspapers, and text in different languages, arranging, overwriting, and layering them until some of the original text changes or gradually fades away. This process reflects how experiences and emotions accumulate, overlap, and change over time, sometimes becoming difficult to express through words.
The exhibition invites viewers to reflect on their own experiences and consider how leaving home and living far away can change us. As time passes, what remains, and what has changed?

BIOGRAPHY
Jirachote Puttasung is a Thai visual artist working across painting, portraiture, mixed media, and installation. His practice explores identity, memory, and the emotional experience of living away from home, drawing on the challenges of adapting to unfamiliar environments. Through layered portraits and text, which he rea ranges and partially obscures, Jirachote examines how
experiences accumulate and transform over time, shaping memory and one’s sense of self.
